Nathan Fraser and Dragon Lee def. Los Lotharios
NXT’s comeback from Los Lotharios didn’t go the way they planned as NXT Heritage Cup Champion Nathan Frazer and Dragon Lee emerged victorious.
Ángel Garza and Humberto Carrillo started the match by jumping Fraser and Lee with tandem penalties to the outside, and it looked early on that Los Lothario would seal the win.
A pair of great pinfalls from Garza and Carrillo was followed by a stunning powerbomb from Lee, but all four superstars refused to give up as the match went on.
With the NXT Universe going into a frenzy, Frazier took out both members of Los Lotharios and threw Garza back into the ring where Lee hit him with a twisting neck chop to get the win.
Kiana James def. Gigi Doolin
Despite Gigi Dolin’s best efforts, NXT’s Keana James escaped with the win thanks to underhand tactics.
Both superstars punch each other in order to get some wins, but James becomes increasingly frustrated with his inability to banish the resilient Dolin.
In a last ditch effort, James grabs her signature handbag but Doolin catches it and when she goes to hit James with it, the official snatches it away. In the ensuing struggle, James hit a 401K and Doolin hit the bag face first allowing James to score.
Bronco Nima and Lucien Price defeated. Scripts & Axiom
Bronco Nima & Lucien Price made their NXT debut, and while they looked like a force to be reckoned with on their own, they had some help from SCRYPTS who turned on their partner, Axiom.
The speed and athleticism of the Axiom and SCCRYPTS were impressive as they kept the larger Nima off balance.
Out of nowhere, SCRYPTS decorated Axiom from behind leaving the masked Superstar to Nima and Bryce who proceeded to overwhelm the helpless Axiom and end the match via a crushing uppercut.
Thea Hail defeated. Electra Lopez
Thea Hail brought out the Superstar once again when she introduced Elektra Lopez in the middle of the ring.
Lopez was on a mission to prove a point, and with Lola Vice in her corner, it looked like her size and strength would be enough to win, but Hail was lightning fast and locked into the Kimura Lock before her opponent knew what hit her.
After the match, Hail was confronted by Stratton giving her a rematch for the NXT Women’s Championship at Great American Bash.
Oro Mensah def. Eddie Thorpe
The Meta Four scored a huge victory as Oro Mensah beat Eddie Thorpe to restore momentum to their group after Noam Dar lost the Heritage Cup.
Darr’s “main man” Mensah unleashed much of his pent-up frustration on Thorpe, but Thorpe’s uppercut allowed him to take the lead for the match.
Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson distracted the official and Dijak appeared out of nowhere to deliver a big boot to Thorpe allowing Mensah to hit the roll kick and win the match.
“Dirty” Dominic Mysterio def. Wes Lee to win the North American Championship
Judgment Day continues to dominate WWE as “Dirty” Dominic Mysterio taps out Wes Lee to become the new NXT North American Champion.
The presence of the WWE Women’s World Champion halted Lee’s early momentum and Mysterio took full advantage by hitting three amigo suplexes in addition to his father Rey Mysterio’s move, 619.
Lee proved he had the heart of a champion and after a great diving attack on the outside, it looked like he was ready to retain his title, but Finn Balor and Damien Priest interfered allowing Ripley to pin Lee with her title, allowing Mysterio to cover for him and become the North American Champion.
