Alec Baldwin He’s hired to interview a filmmaker plagued by scandals Woody Allen.
Baldwin announced on his Instagram, revealing that he will be giving an Instagram Live interview with Allen on Tuesday morning. Commenting on his letter, the actor anticipated the criticism he would face by writing, “Let me preface this by saying that I have no interest in anyone’s judgments and sacred publications here.”
He continued, “I’m clearly someone with my own set of beliefs and I can’t discount anyone else’s speculation. If you think the experiment should be done by way of an HBO documentary, that’s your problem,” he continued.
Baldwin’s letter was referring to the Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering documentary series on HBO Allen vs. Farrow which explores the allegation of sexual abuse against Allen in 1992 by his adopted daughter Dylan Farrow, who was seven years old when the alleged abuse occurred.
Although Farrow publicly announced her allegations against Allen in 2013 and 2014, the manager did not face a backlash until the #metoo movement took off. Allen has since become a Hollywood pariah Amazon Studios privately canceled a $68 million deal for four films His last films had difficulty distributing.
Baldwin’s confirmed and controversial interview with Allen comes amid the actor’s legal issues stemming from the fatal shooting on the set of West Rust In October 2021. The actor is the target of multiple lawsuits over the incident.
