The Fallout TV show has been a huge hit, so it was no surprise to hear Prime Video announcing Season 2 just a week after Season 1 debuted. And while there's been a lot of speculation about where Fallout will go after the end of Season 1, there's one special monster that's been pinned for Season 2.
warning: Fallout Season 2 events are coming!
If you've watched Fallout Season 1, you may have noticed that Fallout's iconic Deathclaws are conspicuous by their absence. Although Deathclaws are the main enemy in all of the Fallout games, we only see the Deathclaw skull before the entire season begins.
In a recent interview with Windingco-showrunner Graham Wagner explained why the Deathclaws failed to make it into the first season, but confirmed that they will be a big part of the second season.
“We wanted to have the deathclaws, but we didn't want to get rid of them,” Wagner said. “It's a huge piece, we want to save something for Season 2 so we can do it right, and not just add it to the huge world building that we already had to do in Season 1. So, in Season 2, we're very excited to finally, get to grips with One of the most iconic items in gaming.
This much is clear: Deathclaws are coming in Season 2. But how can their arrival succeed? IGN's Simon Cardy recently identified 14 things we'd like to see in Fallout Season 2, and Deathclaws are at the top of the list:
“I do imagine that a trapped Kyle MacLachlan will have trouble with one of these weapons, which could result in him being gone in T60 seconds, given his limited experience with his newfound power armor.
“The iconic, snarling, slashing Deathclaw is a long-standing staple of the Fallout canon, having appeared in every game in the series to date. Jonathan Nolan and his team would be wise to hold off on presenting one in all its glory during this first run of episodes, but it would be a great way to To start the second season.
This seems like a good shout to me: start season two with a fight between villain Hank and Deathclaw outside of New Vegas itself. To me, there's only one way for a fight to go: badly for Hank. Maybe Mr. House will step in to help?
There are a lot of unanswered questions after the first season of Fallout. Fans have a lot of theories about the snake oil salesman's mysterious serum, for example. To continue through Season 2, be sure to check out IGN's wide-ranging and eventful interview with Bethesda Game Studios CEO Todd Howard and executive producer and director Jonathan Nolan.
