Why do we love speaking French so much?

Franglais is everywhere. The term portmanteau first appeared in 1959 to refer to this type of language in French with a combination of English or American words. There are many examples today. Strain your ears to realize that there are English words in everyone’s conversation, even among people who can’t string together a sentence in Shakespeare’s language. We ask this mother who interrupts her children’s fights: “Stop fighting yourselves!”. Or even in televised debates where presenters comment “The Most Touching Subject”. What about those influencers on social networks who start their short daily videos with phrases like: “Hi, today I am going to prepare a healthy meal”.
