One half of rock duo The Black Keys has a colorful but ambiguous message for fans in the wake of the band abruptly canceling a North American arena tour and firing their high-profile management team.
“We got f—ed,” drummer Patrick Carney wrote on social media Monday. Explaining the group’s recent unrest, he added: “I’ll tell you all how this doesn’t happen to you. Stay tuned.”
A representative for the Black Keys was reached by Entertainment Weekly He declined to comment further.
Last month, Carney and his colleague Dan Auerbach sat down unexpectedly quietly The Players International Tour has been cancelled, which is slated for arenas and amphitheaters across North America, starting at the BOK Center in Tulsa on September 17. In a May 26 Instagram post addressing the arena tour overhaul, the Black Keys wrote: “Thank you for your understanding and apologies for the sudden change… We’re sure everyone will be excited when you see what we have in mind though.” We look forward to seeing everyone soon.”
