TV star Ty Pennington had a nasty health scare this week.

The Trading Spaces host was taken to the ER in Denver where he was intubated after he had difficulty breathing due to an abscess.

Panic occurred after he attended the premiere of Barbie.

The 58-year-old styling guru took to Instagram on Friday to post pictures from his hospital bed.

“From the red carpet to the intensive care unit… this past week has been fun!” Caption started.

“I’m fine now, I’m still recovering but I just felt like it seemed weird that I didn’t post about my team #BOTB VICTORY!!”

Sunday I hit the red carpet for barbiethemovie, Monday I flew to Colorado to start filming in Breckenridge and Tuesday morning I woke up at 4am and couldn’t breathe hard.

Turns out, the sore throat I had for the past month was actually an abscess that had grown so big that it was blocking my airway. Next thing I know, I’ve been intubated and taken to the ICU in Denver.

Wednesday I had surgery and yesterday afternoon I was discharged from the ICU.

He then thanked the “amazing staff” at St. Anthony’s in Lakewood, Co & Summit Health in Frisco for their great interest in him.

He was in the premiere of Barbie because he worked on HGTV’s Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge.

It will be released just in time for Greta Gerwig’s new Barbie movie starring Margot Robbie, which hits theaters this month.

The show will revolve around home improvement and will be hosted by Ashley Graham, who is a model.

Pennington shares pink pad cleaning and works with Alison Victoria of Windy City Rehab.

The offer will be released on July 16, 2023.

Bennington is a happily married man.

In 2021, he officially tied the knot with Kelly Merrill.

The performer previously spoke to the people He noted that he became fascinated with his partner’s build and personality.

I’ve admired Kellee from afar for years. He said, “She is a beautiful woman inside and out.”

Then he expressed his gratitude to her.

Fortunately, our paths finally crossed just in time. It’s one of those things where you feel so happy to be around someone.
