Many Juventus players are of interest to Premier League clubs. In this case, Mirco de Nadal interviewed Dean Jones, an English journalist working in Godfside. Check out some of his words.
Why are West Ham so desperate to sign Denis Zakaria?
“ West Ham’s intention is to hold on to the proceeds of the rice sale for as long as possible, and then there is some distrust of clubs trying to squeeze the prize money and put it to good use. Money is possible for this reason alone. I think they completely agree with Zakaria’s assessment, but the reason may also be different: he was allowed to go on loan to Chelsea a year ago, with rights, without obligation. So West Ham will want the same conditions and wonder why they can’t have it. »
Could he be the best midfielder for this team?
” Yes, this is a good option. The management’s idea is to replace Rice with two players: one of them, for example, could be Man United’s Scott McTominay, whose athleticism, physicality and Championship experience will compensate for the outgoing man’s qualities. As for Zakaria, he will bring considerable added value to the team, especially through his ability to defend in the box-to-box. »
Are any Premier League teams interested in Federico Chiesa?
” I don’t believe in Liverpool’s interest, it doesn’t look like an area of the pitch that needs strengthening at the moment and I have no indication of that. Chelsea don’t mean much either, they’re also now overshadowed. In fact, the Premier League doesn’t have the big clubs that need him right now. »
” Newcastle may be interested, yes, but only if they fail to sign Harvey Barnes. So let’s wait and see what happens. Aston Villa are looking for a new option in this department, so even if they aren’t strongly linked, I wouldn’t be surprised to see their name mentioned, and the same goes for West Ham. But all the clubs I’ve mentioned seem a bit behind Juve to be honest. »
Is Chelsea’s interest in Dusan Vilahovic genuine?
“ The interest is real, but Chelsea need strong strikers who can score goals. Lukaku and Aubameyang are set to leave, while Howards, who was a striker last season, was sold to Arsenal. Broja and Jackson have been picked in the squad, but they lack consistent goalscoring experience at the top level. The Blues could land Vlahovic, but so far they aren’t particularly keen on completing the deal. Everything depends on the deadline set by Juve and the Serbian centre-forward’s ability to become a firm favorite for Pochettino’s side. »
