AEW is trying something different with this year’s World Title Eliminator Championship, which is set to culminate on November 19 in Full Gear 2022; There are no main event stars in the eight-player tournament category.
Last week, AEW revealed that Dante Martin and Ethan Page were the first two men on the field. On tonight’s episode (November 4) of frenzyRicky Starks interrupted a promotion in the ring announcing his entry into one of the remaining six spots.
Then, AEW flashed the full championship slide on screen for just a few seconds while Excalibur ran into some matches on the upcoming cards.
Here is the arc:
The first round matches will be:
- Eddie Kingston vs. Ethan Page
- Bandido vs. Rush
- Ricky Starks vs Lance Archer
- Dante Martin vs Brian Cage
By not including any top stars, this year’s tournament is less anticipated than last year’s. Cage and Archer don’t have much of a chance of getting into that full lungebut there are some interesting possibilities among the other six men.
However, the man who comes out full lunge As the competition winner definitely does his thing for either Jon Moxley or MJF in the world title match in winter is coming On December 14, right?
