What is Megaplier?
The Megaplier feature increases non-jackpot jackpots by two, three, four or five times. It costs an extra dollar per game. The Megaplier drawing takes place on Tuesdays and Fridays before the Mega Millions drawing. The pool contains 15 balls. Five were marked as 2X, six as 3X, three as 4X and one as 5X.

What happens if I win the jackpot?
The grand prize winner has the option of receiving an annuity or cash payment.
The annuity is paid as one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments, according to the Mega Millions website. Each batch is 5% larger than the previous batch.
“This helps protect winners’ lifestyle and purchasing power in periods of inflation,” according to the Mega Millions website.
The cash option is a one-time lump sum payment equal to all the cash in the Mega Millions jackpot prize pool.
If two or more people win the jackpot in the same drawing, the money will be shared equally between all winning tickets.
