More than two years after announcing a reboot of the hit ’90s comedy “Frasier,” Paramount+ on Tuesday released a teaser for the new show, which includes a reworking of the classic.

When Grammer reprises his titular role as a radio psychiatrist in October, it will have been more than 30 years since the original show first appeared on television.
The new chapter will follow Fraser as he returns to Boston from Seattle “with new challenges to face, new relationships to forge and an old dream or two to finally fulfill,” according to a report. Series description on the Paramount website.
Boston was the city where the world was first introduced to Frasier, when he appeared on the beloved 1980s sitcom Cheers.

The show has gone on to make a name of its own, enjoying 11 years on the air and winning 37 Emmy Awards for Comedy Series.
“We might see[some ‘Cheers’ in Boston],” Grammer told ITV’s This Morning program in May, adding: “There will be new faces to fall in love with.”
The reboot will feature a different supporting cast than the one that proved so popular in the ’90s, with Jack Catmore-Scott playing Fraser’s son, Freddy, and British comedy icon Nicholas Lyndhurst as Fraser’s old friend-turned-professor, Alan.
Tox Olagundwe will play Olivia, Alan’s classmate and chair of the university’s psychology department; Jess Salguero will play Eve, Freddy’s roommate; Anders Keith will appear as David, Fraser’s nephew.
