“Fallout” is coming out of the vault earlier than originally planned.
Prime Video has announced that Fallout, an adaptation of the retro-futuristic video game series of the same name, will premiere all eight episodes on April 10 at 6 PM PT. The special edition includes a live global screening of the first episode, where viewers around the world can choose their faction and interact with other fans via the live chat function.
According to the official tagline, “Fallout is the story of the haves and have-nots in a world where there's almost nothing left. Two hundred years after the apocalypse, the kindly residents of luxury shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellfire their ancestors left behind — and are shocked to discover… An incredibly complex, strange, and extremely violent universe awaits them.
“Fallout” is executive produced by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the duo behind “Westworld,” and stars Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, Kyle MacLachlan, Zelia Mendez-Jones and Aaron Moten. Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner are co-creators and serve as executive producers, writers and co-directors. Nolan directed the first three episodes of the series. Produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Kilter Films in association with Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks.
This is the second update Prime Video has made to the series' release strategy: “Fallout” is set to release all eight episodes on April 11, one day before its original April 12 premiere.
said MacLachlan, who plays Vault 33's supervisor, Hank MacLaine diverse From the “Fallout” series adaptation, “I think people who play video games and are true fans are excited and somewhat hesitant, because they've been burned before. But as we've gradually started getting more press about it, and as more teasers have come out, I find that the tone goes from one of, “Oh, I hope I don't mess this up” to one of, “Oh, I'm so excited.” “I think that sounds really cool.”
