For the second week in a row, there are two games on Monday Night Football.
Game 1 features a battle between two undefeated teams. One of those teams, the Philadelphia Eagles, was always expected to be at that position. The other, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was expected to be one of the worst teams in the NFL.
This has not been the case in two weeks. Baker Mayfield and Mike Evans have done enough to push the Buccaneers to two straight wins to start the season. Monday represents the team’s biggest test. If they can hang in there with the Eagles, maybe people will start taking the Bucs more seriously.
The second “Monday Night Football” game features two big surprises. After a miserable 2021, the Los Angeles Rams look resurgent. Matthew Stafford’s arm looks pretty healthy, and rookie Puka Nacua looks like a steal in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Meanwhile, the Bengals look like they’re a mess and will be playing a struggling Joe Burrow amid an 0-2 start. The team’s offense has yet to hit its stride, and suddenly Cincinnati finds itself winless. Can the Bengals finally turn things around on Monday?
