Canadian authorities were seen entering Delta Air Lines Flight 97 after it was forced to make an emergency landing due to a rowdy passenger on Friday.

Passengers on a Delta Air Lines flight jumped into action when a restrained and unruly passenger – described as ‘violent’ – broke free and caused jostle in the air.
An international flight that left Paris for Detroit, Michigan, was diverted to a Canadian airport after a 34-year-old passenger began intimidating fellow travelers and airline crew Friday morning, according to a report.
“Someone was acting violent and wouldn’t calm down. We wanted to get here as soon as possible. It was a little scary,” said passenger Dina Haddad. WXYZ Detroit.
The unidentified man’s behavior was allegedly so erratic that airline employees restrained him.
Nicholas Fougere, a passenger on the flight, Fox 2 said that his seatmate saw the suspect and another passenger arguing before he was restrained by the crew.
“The person sitting next to me tried to go to the bathroom – and she saw two people arguing. The staff told her to go to a different bathroom.
The suspect broke free from the initial restraints before the plane touched the ground, then five to six other passengers pounced on him until they made an emergency landing, depending on the port.
The flight – carrying 261 passengers – made an emergency landing at Stephenville Diamond Airport in Newfoundland, Canada after six hours of flight, According to FlightAware.
The suspect was soon arrested by the RCMP and Customs.
“Why am I under arrest?” The suspect asked the officers as they were escorted from the plane in footage taken on the plane and released online.

Delta Flight 97 eventually departed Stephenville and landed in Detroit on Friday afternoon.
The Post contacted the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Stephenville for additional information.
“He was willing to throw hands. The back of the plane was reacting to him,” another passenger told WXYZ.
Delta Airlines condemned the incident, saying it had “zero tolerance” for the suspect’s behaviour.
“Unruly conduct, particularly when it endangers the safety of our customers and flight crew. This unruly agent has been removed in Stephenville, Newfoundland and Labrador, and returned to the custody of the RCMP.” Read the statement.
Last month, a man on an Asiana Airlines flight to Daegu, South Korea, opened the plane’s door in the air — and told authorities he was “not comfortable.”
In March, a passenger on a Delta Airlines flight in Los Angeles was arrested after randomly opening the emergency exit door and activating the emergency chip before takeoff.
“When we got to Canada and saw the police cars, we felt safe and comfortable,” another passenger on the terrifying flight from Paris to Detroit told the outlet.
