And I found it!
“The Bachelorette” star Trista Sutter broke her silence after her husband, Ryan Sutter, raised eyebrows with some strange posts amid her absence.
“Geez people. Can’t a girl have a nervous breakdown/trial breakup/midlife crisis/death/divorce in peace here?!” Trista, 51, captioned a family photo on Instagram over the weekend.
“In all seriousness, for those involved, I am safe and sound, happy and healthy, in love and gratitude. “For those who would rather focus on criticism and searching too hard for the dark, good luck with that,” she continued. “I’ve had an opportunity for perspective and personal growth.” And, thanks to the unconditional support of my family and friends, I chose to improve myself, knowing that my job as a stay-at-home mom and my children’s end-of-school year needs were in the best, most capable hands.
Trista, who last posted on May 12, described her longtime love as “stoic” who “usually chooses privacy rather than publication,” but decided to “share his love” for her in letters she might find while traveling.
“We look at Instagram like a digital diary. Most of the time, the world doesn’t pay much attention,” she explained. “For me, they gave me exactly what my love language of affirmation words needed to get me out of some serious self-doubt and fear…and that “All that matters.”
The Bachelorette Season 1 lead added, “He doesn’t owe anyone an explanation or need permission to post what he wants to post and share what he wants to share. If you want to know the rest of the story, I’ll share it in due time. For now, we’re back to our programming.” REGULARLY SCHEDULED – FROM A BEACH IN MEXICO After all, nervous breakdowns and breakups require a lot of rest and relaxation!
Earlier this month, Ryan revealed on Mother’s Day that Trista was off the grid and revealed that he misses her without any further context.
“I really wish I could talk to you,” he wrote at the time, later adding: “I want to know how you are doing. I want to support you, encourage you and cheer for you. I want to be there for you. But I can’t.”
Fans speculated that Trista was filming a reality show, such as “The Traitors” or “Special Forces,” which would have explained her absence.
Days later, the 49-year-old firefighter attempted to explain his mysterious posts and addressed speculation that his longtime love had died.
“Twenty-one years ago I was very famous. I don’t have millions of followers and I don’t influence anyone, but for some reason, every now and then, people still pay attention,” he wrote on May 22. “Apparently that’s been the case lately?”
“I deviated from the usual safe dog topic and chose to post a letter to my wife so she could finally read it. She understood the context and so did I. However, no one else did, and that’s where things went sideways. “Trista has been said to have died, or That we were in trouble, or it must be a midlife crisis among many other creative ideas. Some people thought I was deliberately misleading people in order to benefit from it in some way? It was posted on entertainment news sites and I started getting text messages from friends asking if I was okay. All because I missed my wife and I chose to share how I felt. It was strange to wear the clothes of past fame again, even if only briefly. It reminded me how crazy life is and how grateful I am for the life I have.
Trista and Ryan married in 2003 after meeting on the ABC soap, and are parents to Maxwell, 16, and Blakeslee, 15.
