Taylor Swift is reminding her fans not to throw things on stage at her shows.
At least one object made its way toward Swift in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Sunday night (November 12) as she performed at River Plate Stadium for an Eras Tour concert that was postponed due to “messy” weather on Friday.
She sits at her piano while… forever Set, pop star – who 1989 (Taylor version) Spends a second week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 — quietly, but sternly, she addressed the crowd after “A Gift” arrived next to her. People throwing things at performers on stage has become a dangerous trend.
“Just because communication means having nice, healthy boundaries, it really scares me when things get brought up on stage,” Swift said. “Because if it’s on stage the dancer can trip on it.”
“I love that you bought gifts and that’s very nice, but just, can you please not throw them on stage,” she said (instead of asking). “I love you so much.”
Swift’s November 12 show was the third of three concerts in Buenos Aires.
Saturday night’s show was especially memorable, as her beau Travis Kelce was there. She paid special attention to him from the stage, sneaking in a clever shout-out in “Karma”: “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs who comes straight home to me,” she sang, laughing. When the concert was over, she ran straight to Kelsey to kiss her before the couple headed backstage.
