Spectre gameplay reveal DNF duel trailer showcasing, season pass details

It’s been one year since DNF Duel first released, and while the game hasn’t received any new DLC since its launch so far, that’s finally about to change.

Arc System Works has revealed the gameplay trailer for Specter after the Arc World Tour 2022 Finals as well as more information about the upcoming new character and the Season Pass.

As can be seen in the footage, the Specter fights using two blades that give it excellent range and better movement options than most of the rest of the cast.

She can move 8 directions in the air by yanking the blade of the White Fang and pulling herself along her wire to change her airway.

In addition to just the new character, ArcSys also revealed the Season Pass roadmap for DNF, which confirms that this season will consist of 5 new characters and 1 more stage.

The Specter won’t launch as the first character until this summer, but it will bring with it an updated Awakening system as well as more new mechanics to make the experience deeper than before.

In this update, players can choose between a Clear Cube and a Gold Cube for awakening, with the former activating at 50% health and less power than gold, which will likely work similarly to how it does now.

The developers are also mentioning a new defense mechanic that they plan to add at the same time as well, but they don’t want to go into detail like it is now.

As the roadmap can probably assume, ArcSys is out to ensure that fans plan to support the game until at least 2024 with new content and balance updates on the way.
