European stocks open slightly higher
European stocks opened slightly higher on Thursday, with investors eyeing interest rate decisions from central banks in the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Norway.
The European Stoxx 600 rose 0.1% shortly after the opening bell, with most sectors trading in positive territory.

Housing starts and initial jobless claims are among the economic data scheduled for release this week
Wall Street awaits a batch of economic data starting Thursday to close out the second half of the trading week.
US initial jobless claims, housing starts and building permits are scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Thursday, as well as the Philadelphia Fed’s manufacturing survey.
Friday morning will see PMI data for services and manufacturing, followed by existing home sales figures.

Stock futures were little changed on Wednesday
Stock futures were little changed on Wednesday, as investors looked to end the short trading week on a high following the S&P 500’s latest record.
Futures tied to the S&P 500 rose 0.05%, while Nasdaq 100 futures rose 0.2%. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures rose 41 points, or 0.2%.
