SNL Alumna Victoria Jackson Has Inoperable Tumor Amid Cancer Battle

Saturday Night Live Harvard graduate Victoria Jackson revealed that doctors found an inoperable tumor in her windpipe during her battle with cancer.

The comedian confirmed Wednesday in a new video for her Instagram series “Is Cancer Back?” that her cancer has returned. She also estimated her lifespan would be about three years.

“[Doctors] “I can’t have surgery and cut out the marble in my chest that’s on my windpipe, which could eventually choke me to death,” Jackson explained in the lengthy video.

As for her treatment, she said her healthcare providers will give her a “magic pill.” “It will be delivered to my door in the next 12 hours,” she said. “It’s a drug called ribociclib, and hopefully it will shrink the marble.” Ribociclib is intended to slow or stop the growth of cancer.

After researching the average life expectancy of the treatment, Jackson said she learned that patients taking the drug typically have “32.6 months to live — something like that.”
