Selena Gomez Denies Plastic Surgery Rumors: ‘Leave Me Alone’

Selena Gomez She’s tired of the gossip about her appearance. The 32-year-old pop star recently expressed her annoyance in the comments after watching a video on Tik Tok She discusses the “changes” in her face over the years, revealing that she has had no work done other than injections.

“Honestly, I hate this,” wrote Gomez, who has been open about her struggle with lupus. “I was wearing striped clothes because [a] “I got worse. I had Botox. That’s it.”

“Leave me alone,” she added.

The video’s creator, Marissa — whose bio says she works as a personal assistant at a Florida plastic surgery clinic — didn’t specify what procedures she believes Gomez has undergone, telling followers she doesn’t “know what to attribute any of these changes to” while showing a side-by-side comparison of a younger and slightly older Selena. “I think she’s been through a lot in her life, especially medically, so I don’t think it’s fair to speculate whether or not she’s had cosmetic stuff done,” the user added in the original clip. “At the end of the day, let’s just leave her alone.”

Upon seeing Gomez’s comment, Marissa said, Follow-up video She apologized for any hurt feelings caused by her initial post. “While I always try to be polite and considerate, I’m sorry this upset you,” she wrote in her caption.

Once again, the Rare Beauty founder chimed in via the responses, writing, “I love you, not for you, I just feel sad sometimes.”

Gomez has long been vocal about her experiences with mental health and body shaming, especially after revealing her lupus diagnosis in 2015. She addressed how her weight often fluctuates due to the medication she takes for the autoimmune disorder in the Apple TV+ series my dear… Last year, she said haters “couldn’t wait to find something to bring me down on” once her body started changing.

“I would go online and post a picture of myself and say, ‘It doesn’t matter, I don’t accept what you’re saying,’ and all this while I’m in the room posting it, crying my eyes out, because nobody deserves to hear that kind of stuff,” she added at the time.
