Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Under Ongoing Federal Criminal Investigation in New York

Sean “Diddy” Combs is the subject of an ongoing federal criminal investigation, according to NBC News, Which cited two sources familiar with Combs’ ongoing legal troubles.

The same sources confirmed that a federal grand jury in the Southern District of New York is hearing evidence as part of the investigation. No details have been leaked about what is being considered.

A spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office declined to comment, and Combs’ attorneys did not respond to a request for comment.

The news comes three months after law enforcement raided Combs’ homes in Los Angeles and Miami.

Combs has been under fire for at least the past seven months. Multiple women have come forward with sexual assault allegations, culminating in the May release of a video, obtained by CNN, that appears to show him beating his then-girlfriend, Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura, in a Los Angeles hotel in 2016.

Combs reached a settlement in a federal lawsuit filed by Ventura last November. The two reached the settlement the day after the lawsuit was filed.

Combs was also stripped of his honor by Howard University, had a reality TV project canceled by Hulu, and divested his stake in his former company, Revolt.
