The Pokémon Company announced today that the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket will be released on October 30, 2024 worldwide.
This new Pokémon TCG card collecting app has received a new trailer with the release date announced at the closing ceremony of the Pokémon World Championships in Hawaii. The new trailer shows off touchscreen opening packs in various locations and gameplay features, such as trading with other card collectors.
The end of the trailer hints at an “immersive card” featuring Mewtwo. These cards let you explore digital art in a 3D space, giving you a deeper look at the card art than we’ve ever seen before. The Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket was announced earlier this year on Pokémon Day in February, and this is the first new trailer we’ve seen since then.
So far, we know that you can unlock two new booster sets for free every day in Pokémon TCG Pocket. The cards will include illustrations of the current Pokémon TCG and new cards exclusive to the app. You’ll be able to view your Pokémon card collection, trade, explore the art in detail, and maybe even more that hasn’t been fully explained yet.
You can pre-register for Pokémon TCG Pocket now on the App Store and Google Play. If you’re in New Zealand, you can play early in the game’s beta launch – no word on when that will be just yet!
