A Palworld website has seemingly revealed a Pal that bears a striking resemblance to Mewtwo from the Pokemon series, reigniting the discourse once again as accusations of imitation spread.

Long before Palworld became the cultural phenomenon it is now in 2024, it was labeled as “Pokémon with guns.” Although the Early Access version we have today bears more resemblance to survival games like Ark in its structure, Pals itself has come under a great deal of scrutiny.

With dozens of designs resembling those in the Pokémon series, the controversy has been rife, so much so that the Pokémon Company itself came out just a few days ago.

Now, as the record-breaking bestseller seeks to maintain its momentum, many are looking forward to what's to come. According to a supposed datamin, there could be eerily similar friends in the next turn.
