California organizers defend pro-Palestinian ‘education’ from criticism as ‘anti-Israel propaganda’
Teachers in Oakland, California, on Wednesday held a pro-Palestinian education session, asking elementary school-age children to draw what they think the Zionist leader looks like and to identify a massacre.
Oakland Unified School District Superintendent Kayla Johnson Trammell issued a warning to teachers planning to hold the unauthorized event, stating that the curriculum was not in keeping with the district’s educational protocol. Despite the warning, about 100 teachers participated in teaching the unauthorized material to students ages 4 to 18, the East Bay Times reported.
The “teaching” materials were listed as “K-12 lessons, art lessons, math lessons, movies you can show, and ways to highlight Palestinian joy,” according to a curriculum review conducted by Fox News Digital.
OUSD teacher Jodi Greenspan, who served as a teaching organizer, told Fox News Digital that OEA for Palestine “definitely” plans to hold future events, adding that Superintendent Johnson Trammell should have a change of heart and “get on the right track.” aspect of history.”
