Robert Quinn faces multiple charges after turning himself in to authorities Friday morning after a hit-and-run in South Carolina.
According to the accident report It was acquired by NBC affiliate WCBDQuinn allegedly rammed a Ford F-150 truck into four unoccupied cars and a gate in Summerville, South Carolina, on Tuesday. Police said a person who reported property damage from the incident accused Quinn of assaulting her.
Police said Quinn, whose truck sustained significant damage including a missing front tire, left the scene on foot before officers arrived. Officers reported finding a partially empty bottle of Crown Royal Apple whiskey on the passenger side floorboard while searching Quinn’s car.
After turning himself in to the Summerville Police Department, Quinn, a resident of Ladson, South Carolina, was charged with third-degree assault and battery, hit and run of a guarded motor vehicle, four counts of hit-and-run property damage, and striking a fixture on or next to a freeway.
Quinn, 33, was the then 14th overall pick of the Saints. Louis Rams in 2011. He made three Pro Bowls and two All-Pro teams during his 12-year career while suiting up for the Rams, Miami Dolphins, Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears, and Philadelphia Eagles.
He recently scored six games with Philadelphia last season after a midseason deal from Chicago.
