Morgan Wallen is in hot water after he abruptly canceled his Mississippi show at Foot Hemingway Stadium Sunday night (April 23).
Minutes before he was due to take to the stage, video boards inside the Ole Miss football stadium showed a message saying the “Thought You Should Know” singer had lost his voice and was unable to perform, adding that people’s tickets would be refunded.
However, some fans weren’t content with refunding tickets after spending thousands of dollars on other expenses around the show.
One woman took to Facebook to share a full detailed list of everything she wanted a country artist back for.
Mandi Walker Nowlin’s list includes a $560 hotel bill, her clothes ($120), her husband’s clothes ($218), a meal at the Oxford Grillhouse in Mississippi ($235) and more.
The full bill came to $3,982.
She concluded her Facebook post with a link to the Cash app (a mobile payment service), saying, “I’ll expect my payment tomorrow. Thanks bro.”
The enraged fan added, “My husband went with me to two concerts. Never. It’s been 17 years that we’ve been together. Somehow I got him into this one and this s*** happens.”
Meanwhile, a fan took it a step further and sued the singer “on behalf of herself and all other members of the public in a similar situation.”
“Even if ticket prices are refunded, no offer has been made to reimburse concert-goers for other personal expenses they incurred in connection with the cancellation of the concert, including transportation, lodging, food, merchandise sales, transaction fees, and other similar expenses,” the plaintiff said in court documents. that he received Page six.

On Monday (April 24), Wallen released a statement about the cancellation, writing, “After last night’s show, I started to lose my voice, so I spent the day awake, talking to my doctor, and working through my vocal exercises to try to get it better.
“I really thought I’d be able to get on stage and it kills me not to do it before showtime, but my voice has been filmed and I’m unable to sing.
“All tickets will be refunded at the point of purchase. I am so sorry, I promise you guys I tried everything I could.”
Wallen, one of county music’s biggest stars, is no stranger to controversy.
He was caught on camera in 2021 outside a home in Nashville, Tennessee, shouting profanities and racial slurs.
He apologized at the time but was suspended indefinitely from his label and had his music pulled from radio stations and streaming services.
The previous year, Whalen had been arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct after being kicked out of a bar in downtown Nashville.
The abrupt cancellation of what was supposed to be two consecutive nights of performances for one of country music’s most popular stars has come to an end.
The Saturday night (April 22) show seemed to be a huge success as thousands turned out for the first concert in the stadium’s history.
