Monastir: 520 students shine in English Dictation Olympiad at Ksar Hellal!

“Ksar Hilal 2050” association organized the 3rd edition of the English Language Dictation Olympiad on Sunday at the Higher Technical Education Institute of Ksar de Hilal (Monastir governorate).

About 520 students from 7th, 8th and 9th grade in elementary schools in the provinces of Monastir, Sousse, Mahdia and Kairouan participated in the competition, which was organized in collaboration with the Regional Education Authority in Monastir.

The 12 English language teachers and researchers who provide academic oversight for the event have chosen this year’s themes of health, education and environment.

For English teacher Pesma Maroui, the Olympiad is an opportunity to encourage students to excel in the English language, especially since the language is scientific and research-oriented.

According to the students who are participating in the Olympiad for the second time, the Olympiad is an important experience that helps them develop their English skills as well as relieves them from the stress inherent in the examination period.

The head of the “Ksar Hilal 2050” association, Adel Ameur told TAP Agency that this edition of the Olympiad has increased to 520 participants, compared to 345 during the first edition. The edition will be organized at a regional level.
