What is the level cap in Modern Warfare 3?
At launch, MW3’s maximum level is rank 55. Although very low, this cap will likely not be the final level cap for a very long time.

Just like other CoD titles, as the game goes through its seasons, the maximum rank is increased, with the final season in MW2 reaching rank 850. So it’s likely that MW3 won’t stay at the rank cap of 55 for long.

With Season 1 expected to release in early December, we can expect an increase in the MW3 level cap along with it.
Are there prestige levels in Modern Warfare 3?
Unfortunately, There are no Prestige levels to grind after reaching the rank level cap of 55 when MW3 launches. This has been a major point of criticism from fans, as this has left players feeling dissatisfied after reaching #1 relatively quickly.
However, the developers may add the Prestige again in the upcoming Season 1 update which is expected to be released on December 6. However, Prestige trim levels have not been mentioned yet.
