The heat is on for Knicks.
After losing Game 1 at home on Sunday, the Knicks will try to avoid falling into a dreaded 2-0 hole when they play Game 2 of their NBA second-round playoff series against Miami on Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden.
The Knicks were pitiful in the second half during Game 1 and struggled mightily from 3-point range.
How will injuries on both sides affect the match?

A Jalen Brunson floater with just under three minutes left in the third quarter gave the Knicks a 74-73 lead.
They were behind the entire third quarter and a good portion of the first half beforehand.
Jalen Brunson finally started to get hot in the third quarter.
He nailed 3-pointers on consecutive possessions to cut the Knicks’ deficit to 73-72.
After a quiet first half, Bronson now has 18 points on shooting 5-of-12 from the field and shooting 4-of-7 from behind the arc.
Just like Game 1, the Knicks and MSG fans are upset with the referees.
Mitchell Robinson was called to make a suspected call on Bam Adebayo with 5:38 remaining in the third quarter.
Adebayo hit one of two free throws to give the Heat a 68-66 lead.
It was Robinson’s fourth foul, and he later went to the bench in place of Isaiah Hartenstein, who himself committed three fouls.
Emmanuel Kwekli and Obi Tobin barely saw the field in the first half.
Quickley only played five minutes, while Tobin hit six minutes on the field.
Quickly scored two points in his limited minutes, while Tobin scored scoreless.
It still probably won’t be where the Knicks want it to be, but they did improve on their 3-point shooting in Game 2.
They suffered badly in their Game 1 loss from behind the arc, shooting at a woeful 20.6 percent.
In the first half of Game 2, the Knicks shot 35.0 percent from 3-point range.
The Heat once again outpace the Knicks in this department, however, as they shoot 38.5 percent on three-pointers.
Knicks face a slight deficit in the first half.
They trail the Heat 54-51 at halftime.
RJ Barrett leads all scorers with 19 points, while Julius Randle added 18 points for the Knicks.
Jalen Bronson was quiet, with seven points.
Caleb Martin leads the Heat with 12 points, while Bam Adebayo added eight.
Mitchell Robinson and Isaiah Hartenstein are in bad trouble for the Knicks.
Both centers had three fouls in the first half and, as a result, were benched.
Julius Randle starts to heat up in the second quarter.
He has 15 points on 6-of-11, including 2-of-4 from behind the arc.
He helped make up for Jalen Brunson’s quiet game so far.
Bronson has only five points on 1-of-5.
The Knicks trailed 46-43 with 2:43 left in the first half.
The Knicks were plagued by free throw throws in the first half.
They only shoot 58.3 percent (7-12) from the line, and RJ Barrett and Mitchell Robinson each missed a pair of free throws.
The Heat shoot 83.3% (5-6) from the goal line.
Jalen Bronson, who was a doubt entering the game with a sore ankle, was slow to come back after being fouled with 4:56 left in the first half.
However, he was eventually helped back to his feet, and remained in the game.
Bronson nailed two free throws to cut the Knicks’ deficit to 40-37 before Duncan Robinson nailed a three-pointer on the Heat’s other end.
As mentioned earlier, Carmelo Anthony is at home for Game 2, sitting on the field.
He was introduced to the MSG crowd for the first time between quarters one and two and received a standing ovation:
Knicks lead slightly in the second quarter.
They’re up to 31-29.
RJ Barrett leads all scorers with 16 points, Julius Randle has 10 and Jalen Bronson has three.
Caleb Martin leads the Heat’s lesser Jimmy Butler with seven points, while Max Stross has six.
