Lazio are looking for a versatile striker for the trident attack, with Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi their first choice, but Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi could be the most approachable.
The Biancocelesti have qualified for the Champions League, so coach Maurizio Sarri needs more options in the squad to rotate. According to Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla, the main replacement is Chelsea player Hudson-Odoi, who previously worked with Sarri at Stamford Bridge. The 22-year-old can play on the right or left of attack and could be allowed to go on loan with an option to buy. He has completed a loan spell at Bayer Leverkusen, where he has provided one goal and one assist in 21 competitive appearances. Other options for Lazio include Bologna’s Riccardo Orsolini and Napoli’s Matteo Politano, but again they would be more expensive.
