Joe Burrow: Main focus for 2024 is to be on the field for every game

Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow’s 2023 season has been a tale of two injuries.

Burrow injured his calf during training camp and dealt with the ramifications of the issue throughout the first few weeks of the season. Burrow did not miss any time with the injury and eventually led the Bengals to four straight wins, but any hopes of a return to the playoffs were dashed when Burrow suffered a torn ligament in his right wrist that ended his season.

The rehabilitation process went well enough to allow Boro to take to the field during the team’s off-season programme, and ensuring he doesn’t have to miss any more time is his top priority ahead of the 2024 season.

“Okay, number one, I I want to be in the field “I know I’m going to play well when I’m on the court. I’m at that point in my career where I’ve seen enough of the ball and I know myself that I can go out and play as good as anybody in the game. My biggest steps this year are going to be my body and learning how to get through the season, get through the workouts with my body, feel better, get fit. So that’s the main focus going into the postseason.”

The Bengals won the AFC North and made it back-to-back AFC titles with Burrow leading the offense in 2021 and 2022. A return to that kind of health and production would be a welcome development for Cincinnati this year.
