Alwardi said he wasn't “much of a public speaker” and opened the door to questions from the audience, which included praise for his work on Priscilla Where Elvis and his admirers want a moment to stare at him.
At the end of the questions, Elordi took some time to express how grateful he was to host the animated show on NBC.
“Before we get started, I just want to take a moment to say how grateful I am to be here,” he said. “I've been acting now for about seven years and it's very easy to get caught up in the rush of trying to get to the next thing and the next thing.”
He continued: “But tonight, the people I love are here. You are all here, and because of you I am here. Thank you very much.”
