The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Hogwarts Legacy have been pushed back again to April 4, while the Nintendo Switch version will launch on July 25.
The game’s official Twitter account posted the update (along with a Switch date reveal, below) but gave no reason for the last-gen release delay. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions of Hogwarts Legacy will not be affected and will launch as planned on February 10th.
“The team looks forward to bringing you the game and we want to deliver the best possible gaming experience across all platforms,” the tweet said.

This marks the second delay to Hogwarts Legacy as it was originally expected to release over the holiday period this year, before being pushed back to a February date.
Developer Avalanche Software has been slowly but surely sharing different elements of the game, flaunting the Hogsmeade quest, flying broom sections, and dark magic at Hogwarts.
One of the biggest talking points surrounding Hogwarts Legacy has to do with its connection to Harry Potter author JK Rowling, who has drawn controversy in recent years for her transphobic comments. Warner Bros. said: The author is not directly involved in the game but its leadership said she “has the right to express her personal opinion”.
