Inti Creates has changed its title Grim Guards: Purge of Demons to Gal Guardians: Cleansing Demons in English-speaking countries including the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand in response to a complaint from the owners of the “Grimguard” trademark.

Inti Creates has announced that its recently released 2D action platformer title, Grim Guards: Purge of Demonswill change its English title to “Gal Guardians: Cleansing Demons. The change will roll out across all platforms in the coming weeks, including Nintendo eShop and Microsoft Store on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation Store on PlayStation 4 and 5, and Steam.
This change comes after Inti Creates received a complaint regarding an address Grim Guards: Purge of Demons Owners of the trademark “Grimguard” registered in the countries listed below.
Affected countries: United States, European Union, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand In response to this complaint, the title of the game will be changed to “Gal Guardians: Cleansing DemonsIn the countries listed, as well as other English-speaking regions.
Inti Creates is currently taking steps to change the address across all storefronts. As a result, Gal Guardians: Cleansing Demons It may be temporarily unavailable for purchase in some regions while this change is in place. Inti Creates offers a sincere apology to any affected customers as they strive to complete the name change as soon as possible and restore the game for sale across all platforms and regions.
