Original post: Bard, Google’s answer to ChatGPT, was not really well received. Shocked by the OpenAI bot’s incredible growth and its integration with Bing, Google played it safe by launching an English-only and invite-only version of Bard limited to the US and the United Kingdom.
On the occasion of Google I/O, the search engine Open Doors and Windows: Now, without waiting for a prompt, the bot is accessible to everyone, and best of all, it can be accessed from 180 countries. In addition to English, Bart now writes his responses in Korean and Japanese. Support for 40 additional languages with French logically to be added soon.
We tried Google’s answer bar for ChatGPT
Bart is based on the new in-house developed Large Language Model (LLM) PalM 2, which is now used by most of Google’s services and applications. Thanks to this technology, the bot can create images based on Photoshop editor templates that allow for example Adobe Firefly, AI to create images.
Requests can include images in addition to text. Here, Google Lens, an image recognition system is used. The company has also contracted with Wolfram to connect services like Kayak or OpenTable to Bard.
