With the Pixel 9 series, Google will launch foot A new set of ringtones and alert sounds called “Sound Matters” is now rolling out to older devices.
Sound Matters features “beautiful and diverse sounds of birds singing,” indicating a healthy ecosystem. The sound comes from “a dawn chorus of birds found in remote and wild areas of Botswana and Zimbabwe” in late 2023 “to coincide with the rainy season in southern Africa.” Google worked with an award-winning wildlife sound recorder.

Sounds that were different from what most people hear every day, whether they live in urban areas or less nature-rich ecosystems.
On your Pixel device, go to Settings > Sound & vibration to find six ringtones and alert sounds in the new Sound Matters collection.
