Google Pixel 9 Pro official case leaks and promotional videos

Google Pixel 9 Pro official case leaks and promotional videos

It’s a new day, so it’s time for some new Pixel leaks. Google may have been trying to prevent extensive leaks of its upcoming devices by holding its annual launch event two months ahead of schedule in August, but that clearly didn’t work out at all.

After yesterday’s leaks about the Pixel phones, today we have a slew of newly leaked promotional materials, leaked promotional videos, and leaked official cases. So let’s get started.

Official cases for the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL have been leaked. The former will get silicone cases in Charcoal, Porcelain, Hazelnut, Pink, and Aloe. The latter is strange because the Pixel 9 Pro itself is not expected to launch in Aloe.

Moving on to the XL model, the cases for this model will come in the same colors as the Pixel 9 Pro, except for the Aloe color.

Then, a promotional video for the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL was revealed, posted to YouTube where it has unfortunately been removed for now “violating YouTube’s terms of service.” The video focused on the fact that the Pixel Pro will now be available in two sizes for the first time. It also underscores Google’s continued commitment to software updates — the company is promising seven years of Pixel Feature Drops.

There’s also a quick look at Pixel Screenshots, which will let you easily search through any screenshots you’ve previously saved. Of course, Google is also bragging about the “Pro-level” cameras on the Pro models, with Super Res Zoom Video, and a new AI Add Me feature that lets you take two group photos and then merge them with AI magic.

This ensures that everyone is in the resulting photo, and the person taking the photo is not left out. Google’s Gemini phone also gets a lot of screen time, as expected in 2024 when artificial intelligence is the main buzzword in the tech world.

Finally, we have another leaked video, this time focusing on the “original” Pixel 9. At the time of publication, this video has not yet been removed by YouTube, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it eventually meets the same fate as the other video.

The app replaces the Add Me feature with a Magic Editor that uses AI to “reimagine” your shots, and boasts that the phone has a “rugged” design, whatever that means. Otherwise, it’s pretty much the same, as intended since it’ll be part of the same ad campaign.
