Google is teasing the Pixel 8 Pro with gen AI and the Pixel Watch 2

As the countdown continues until October 4, Google today shared the phrase “W8 is almost over.” Harasses Showing the Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel Watch 2.

Google’s four-color logo rotates until we see the “oo” combine and form the number 8. Pay attention to the color here as this is the blue/green/purple color palette the company uses for generative AI with SGE, Help I Write, etc. The caption amusingly says “Ambient electro beat builds with anticipation” during this part, while the full song is “6 to 9” by Big Wild feat. Rationale [Neil Frances Remix].

Then we see a close-up of Pixel 8 Pro In white/porcelain and a camera bump, with a disclaimer stating “Pre-order available October 4”, it’s par for the course on the Google Store.

Then there’s the tease of Pixel Watch 2. It looks exactly like the first generation model with the same band connector and domed design on the front. It may or may not be thinner at other angles.

It’s worth noting that the rotating crown design is smooth and more rounded, downplaying the bottle cap design. The torso also appears thinner, while the side button above it may be less noticeable.

Next is Pixel Buds Pro in a matching ceramic finish, while this 15-second teaser ends with another shot of the Pixel 8 Pro. The “G” logo and the last ad on October 4 are now purple again.

Overall, Google explicitly tells us that this will be a three-product product — two products if we’re talking about brand new, though we expect a major software update for the headphones.
