Former NFL offensive lineman Joesder Cherilos was arrested Sunday after he allegedly urinated on another passenger during a transatlantic flight, According to multiple reports.

Cherillos, 40, pleaded not guilty to charges of interfering with the operation of an aircraft, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest during an appearance in East Boston County District Court on Monday. He was released on $2,500 bail, according to reports.

Cherillos declined to comment to reporters, and apologized in Statement posted on X on Monday.

“The flight was unexpectedly delayed for approximately four hours, and did not depart until after 12:30 a.m. In preparation for the unexpected night flight, I took a sleeping medication that I do not normally use, which resulted in behavior that is not representative of my character, and I would like to apologize to the passengers and crew.”

Police were reportedly called to Logan Airport at 2 a.m. Sunday after a Delta flight to Dublin was diverted to Boston because of an “unruly” passenger who urinated on another passenger.

According to a police report obtained by WBZ News, Cherilos appeared to be intoxicated when he arrived at the airport. Cherilos then got into an argument with another passenger over seating arrangements before the flight took off. According to the report from WBZ News, Cherilos later approached an elderly woman, about an hour after takeoff, exposed his private parts, urinated on her and became angry when the flight crew tried to intervene.

Later, police escorted Cherilos off the plane, arrested him and charged him, according to reports.

Cherilos was a first-round pick of the Detroit Lions out of Boston College in 2008. He spent five seasons with Detroit, two seasons with the Indianapolis Colts and two seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, starting 116 games during that time.
