It’s a fresh start in the Goreys’ front line: Hayden Thompson-Stringer is the first to leave Prive, after Malino Vanay joins Montauban. The Englishman has signed for La Rochelle as an extra until the end of the season.
At Correze, the announcement came as no surprise, even though the deal with La Rochelle was sealed in the last days. Since returning from injury in November, he has played just three games with CAB, including one in the league against Bordeaux-Bègles in early December. However, he has been nicknamed “HTS” and has been one of Brive’s key players since arriving from Saracens in 2019.
In 2020/2021, Hayden Thompson-Stringer was one of the most used pillars with 25 games played in over 1150 minutes in all competitions. He was even voted “Player of the Season” by CAB supporters. Unfortunately, injuries got in his way.
Need more time to play with Prive.
So “HTS” embarks on a new challenge in La Rochelle, explaining “to bring its experience and passion to the yellow and black front line”. Stade Rochelais press release
