As part of the National Program for Excellence in Modern Foreign Languages, Measures to improve the teaching of modern foreign languages propose the development of bilingual schools. CLIL (Teaching a Subject Integrated with a Foreign Language) means teaching students, in addition to 54 hours per year, at least one subject of the program in a foreign language.
This Tuesday, December 19, all students at Les Mille Mots School enjoyed a special day with a Christmas theme.
As part of teaching CLILAll classes are divided into groups to carry out various activities in English.
After an “assembly” to warm up the body and voice, various workshops took place:
– a sports game “What time is it Mr. Wolf?”,
– composite color,
– Cooking with “Carrot Cake”,
– Time to read English stories,
– DIY with the construction of “Christmas trees” and “reindeer” in wood,
– Duck game (in different actions, colors, numbers, clothes or parts of the body),
And to finish the day, a Christmas bingo.
The activities were attended by a few parents and Amy Barrett, who has been working as an English assistant at the school since early November.
A pleasant day, the students are increasingly comfortable with the English language and their oral comprehension, a completely shared success, a success again and again!
