In July 2020, artist Rylan Daivath illustrated a piece of The elder scrolls online admire art and post it to their Tumblr account. Now, three years later, they’ve discovered that the exact piece appears to have appeared in the game itself, only they had nothing to do with it.

And here’s a screenshot of the game from April 2023, showing a skin for a character called Mercymother’s Body Art. If you look across the skin’s shoulders, you can see the face and head on the left Finn Divath flipped up and then flipped on both sides:

Daevath’s tweet soon gathered online, Which led to a famous post on RedditAs a result, the game’s developers were notified and subsequently released a statement that read:
We are aware of the situation with ESO Fan Artist. It was never our intention to include any fan art in the community without proper credit. We are in contact with the artist and will work with them to make sure there is an appropriate solution.
We hope this resolution includes at least an apology and credit!
