Dua Lipa is being sued for copyright infringement by Florida-based reggae band Artikal Sound System, alleging that they plagiarized their hit song “Levitating” from their 2017 hit single “Live Your Life.”
In the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles court, the band claimed that the English singer’s hit song, which spent 68 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, was taken from their lesser-known track.

The lawsuit alleged that Lipa’s song “Levitating” and “Live Your Life” were so similar that it was “extremely unlikely” that Lipa’s song could be created independently.
The lawsuit also alleges that the singer had “access” to the song Artikal Sound System before she created the song “Levitating.”
