There are plenty of other scenarios that could highlight the last few weeks of the regular season. It’s going to be a busy Saturday across the country, so here’s a handy sights guide to help you navigate the action. All times are oriental.
the best games
Missouri in number 5 Tennessee – Noon on CBS, CBSSports.comAnd the CBS Sports . app: Volunteers dropped out of first place in the soccer world rankings last week after being smoked by Georgia. The Tigers have a gritty defense in every aspect, so it would be great to see how Vols coach Josh Heebel chose to attack the Tigers in order to gain some style points for the home stretch.
number 7 LSU in Arkansas – Noon on ESPN, fuboTV (try for free): The Golden Boot battle has seen some funny games in the past, but the Tigers are hoping to avoid a chaotic scenario now that they’re in the driver’s seat of the western SEC. Quarterback Jayden Daniels is about to enter the Heisman Trophy, and he will face a subpar defense. Furthermore, the Tigers could conclude the SEC West title with a win over the Razorbacks and a loss with Ole Miss to me Alabama.
#9 Alabama at #11 Ole Miss – 3:30 p.m. on CBS, CBSSports.comAnd the CBS Sports . app: The Crimson Tide has lost two of its last three, and heads to Oxford to face a Rebels who have two weeks to prepare under head coach Lynn Kevin. The tides have been very uncontrolled on the road this year, so that will have to change if it is to avoid another disruption.
number 22 UCF at number 17 Tolen – 3:30 p.m. on ESPN, fuboTV (try for free): The Green Wave is leading the race to lock up the group of five’s show at the New Year’s Six game, and this will be their biggest game in more than a generation. Knights superstar John Rhys Plumlee was messed up last week, and his status could be a big factor in that.
#1 Georgia in Mississippi – 7pm on ESPN, fuboTV (try for free): Is this a trap game for Georgia? Can. The emotional win over Tennessee last week was in the rearview mirror, and Starkville will swing by Saturday night. Mississippi State’s aerial offensive has been dangerous all season, so Georgia High will have to play smart and make open tackles on those under trash passes in the Mississippi State game plan.
No. 25 Washington in number 6 Oregon – 7 pm on Fox, fuboTV (try for free): Duck Defense action will be set against a husky passing offense that has established itself as one of the most dynamic and stable units in the country. Duck quarterback Bo Nix was floating around the Heisman Trophy, and another great performance on national television could heart him heart and keep his team in the CFP race.
#4 TCU at #18 Texas – 7:30 p.m. on ABC, fuboTV (try for free): The Horned Frogs are a surprise underdog against a Texans that bounced back coolly and worked their way up to the top 20. Sonny Dykes’ Horned Frogs have been living on the edge with slow starts over their last three games, and it will be interesting to see if they will be able to repeat the feat if it does. Again in front of a hostile crowd in Austin.
