A woman who authorities said broke into New York’s Staten Island home of comedian Pete Davidson has been rendered unfit to stand trial and has been committed to a psychiatric facility, officials announced Tuesday.
The Staten Island District Attorney’s Office said the woman, whose name is Michelle Motridi, “will receive treatment and regular evaluations to determine if she is able to return and participate in her defense.” TMZ.
The outlet reported that Muterdi was accused of sneaking into the Saturday Night Live star’s home in March 2021, during a time period when he wasn’t home, but a relative was.
In the incident, Motterdi knocked on the front door and was told to exit the building, after which she crept into the house through a side door and entered the kitchen, prosecutors said in court documents.
Mothridy told the woman who was in the house at the time, “I’m here for Pete. Pete told me to come here.”
Law enforcement sources said Page six Mootreddy told the police that she had a telepathic love affair with the celebrity.
The person in the building soon contacted the authorities, who took Mothridy into custody in connection with the second- and third-degree county burglaries.
TMZ reports that Muterdi has also been charged with two felony counts of stalking and two misdemeanor counts of criminal assault and harassment.
Protection orders for Davidson, his mother Amy Waters and sister Casey Davidson issued after her arrest more than two years ago, Page Six I mentioned at the time.
Two years ago Mootreddy released a statement to the media claiming that she and Davidson got married.
Prosecutors in the case said Motridi sent the comedian spam and gifts to his home, the outlet reported.
“In this case, the defendant engaged in conduct that included several instances of stalking, including sending letters and packages to Peter Davidson’s home, as well as later entering the home without permission,” said Assistant District Attorney Matthew Staub.
Davidson has made headlines in the past due to his famous Hollywood romances with Kim Kardashian, Ariana Grande, Kaia Gerber, Kazee David, Kate Beckinsale, and Emily Ratajkowski.
