Charlize Theron knows she might look a little different these days, and she’s totally fine with it.
actress he told Allure magazine In a recently published interview: “My face is changing, and I love that my face is changing and getting older.”
However, she told the publication, “People think I’ve had plastic surgery.”
“They’re like, ‘What did you do to her face?'” Theron said. “It doesn’t mean I had bad plastic surgery. It just happens.”
The Oscar winner will be seeing even more as she is currently promoting Dior’s new fragrance L’Or de J’Adore, which is being marketed as a “reinvention” of the classic J’Adore fragrance.
Theron has been the face of the brand for over twenty years and he’s grateful for that.
“I’m so grateful for that and I’m really proud of it,” she told Allure. “It has become somewhat woven into the fabric of my life over the past 20 years, which makes it kind of special.”
But the 48-year-old had some thoughts on how to view the aging process differently for men, saying, “I’ve always had issues with the fact that men age like fine wine and women like cut flowers.”
“I hate that concept and want to fight it, but I also think women want to age in a way that feels right to them,” Theron said. “I think we need to be a little more empathetic to the way we are all going through our journey. My journey of having to see my face on a billboard is very funny now.”
