Celine Dion She says her kids fear she’ll die as she battles Stiff Person Syndrome… and they have a very good reason.
In the introduction to the singer’s new interview with Australian show Sunrise, Celine discussed her journey with the rare neurological disorder – which causes painful spasms and muscle problems – and admitted that it had a major impact on her three children.
Although Celine had been private about her health struggles until then Announcing her diagnosis In 2022…she now says her children are with her late husband Rene Angelil They had a front-row seat to her illness…and it left them terrified.
She explains… “My children are scared because they lost their father, and they wonder if I will die. I don’t want to die, I don’t want to lie… I was scared.” It can be life-threatening. What will happen?”
Since Celine’s parents are no longer alive, she has had to rely on support from her friends, including the singer John Farnham.
Celine is set to talk more in-depth about her journey in her new documentary “I Am: Celine Dion,” which hits Prime Video next week.
She also spoke with NBC Hoda Kotb This week, she admitted to taking it Sub-lethal doses of Valium to help treat her condition… without realizing how serious it could be.

CD credited the pandemic with motivating her to stop taking her 90-milligram-a-day dose. Unfortunately, at this point her SPS symptoms had become much worse… prompting her to share her diagnosis publicly.
