Daisy Jones & the Six star Camila Morrone is set to join Tom Hiddleston in a new season of The Night Manager.
The hit series, based on John le Carré’s best-selling novel of the same name, returns for two new seasons from BBC and Prime Video, which will see Hiddleston reprise his role as Jonathan Pine, who works in a hotel after leaving the army.
The new season, which is scheduled to begin filming later this year, will pick up eight years after the first season. “The Crown” star Elizabeth Debicki played Payne’s secret lover Jed Marshall in the first season. She is not expected to return.
Moroni’s character has not been revealed in the new season. Morrone previously played Camilla Dunne in “Daisy Jones and the Six” alongside Riley Keough and Sam Claflin. She also appeared in Marmalade and Gonzo Girl opposite Willem Dafoe and Patricia Arquette.
The new seasons of “The Night Manager” were penned by series creator David Farr, and “I Hate Suzie” director Georgie Banks-Davies is set to helm the entire second season. Stephen Garrett leads the production while Hugh Laurie produces.
Representatives for Morrone, the BBC and Prime Video declined to comment.
The Night Manager premiered in 2016 and won a slew of awards including a Best Actor Golden Globe for Hiddleston. The show was one of the most popular dramas in the United Kingdom at the time. Season 2 is set to arrive on BBC One and iPlayer in the UK while Prime Video has picked up international rights.
