Both English clubs are priced at Mudrik!

At the age of 21, Mikael Mudric is already being pursued by the biggest European clubs. The Shakhtar Donetsk left winger has been showing off his skills across Europe this season. Already a three-time Champions League scorer, the Ukrainian impressed with his sense of the game and his technique. When Bayern Munich tried to recruit him against a check for 25 million this summer, Mudric finally stayed in Ukraine. Newcastle are readying a £55m bid for the Ukrainian midfielder this winter. Manchester City and Arsenal are also in the running, but Shakhtar’s price tag for their striker may put off many courtiers.

More than 100 million for Mudrik!

In an interview with Calcio Mercato, Shakhtar sporting director Carlo Nicolini pegged his player’s market value at over 100 million euros!

“We value Mutrik more than Manchester United’s Anthony, who was paid 100 million euros.”

Former Croatia captain and Shakhtar player Darijo Srna is now the director of football at the Ukrainian club. The Croatian has confirmed Manchester City and Arsenal’s interest in Mudric (post comments AS)

“These two teams are interested in the player. But there are other clubs who can spend it immediately. We don’t have to sell, we don’t want to create events. In this team, he is very decisive. If you want to sign some players who will make a difference in the best clubs, you also need the right money, someone will do it. If they want to take it, they have to pay a lot, a lot, a lot. And respect us, the chairman and our club.”

Things are clear, it will be very difficult for the European leaders to secure the Ukrainian’s services, unless they pay the demanded price. Mudric is under contract with Shakhtar until December 31, 2026.
