Following yesterday's teaser, we now have the full trailer for Borderlands, and it gives us a good look at what to expect.
The trailer below shows Cate Blanchett's Lilith, Kevin Hart's Roland, Jack Black's Claptrap, Ariana Greenblatt's Tina, Jamie Lee Curtis's Tanis, and Florian Muntean's Craig cracking up and cracking heads.
We also see Edgar Ramirez as Deucalian Atlas, the founder and CEO of Atlas Corporation. This is the first time we've heard Jack Black's voice as Claptrap, which, perhaps unsurprisingly, sounds like a digital version of Jack Black's voice.
Eli Roth's Borderlands movie is of course based on the video game series developed by Gearbox (in an interview with IGN, Gearbox founder Randy Pitchford teased Borderlands 4!).
In the trailer we see the group battling alien monsters as well as the Borderlands' famous bandits while searching for and protecting a missing girl. Poor Claptrap finds time to take an impromptu toilet break, which the entire team seems fascinated with.
IGN has plenty of Borderlands coverage to whet your appetite for the film, including an exclusive trailer with Randy Pitchford, who discusses the obvious comparisons to Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. Borderlands is coming to the US and UK on August 9, 2024.
