tl; DR
- Various Google Pixel Watch specifications have just been dropped.
- The watch is claimed to have a secondary CPU, similar to the Snapdragon Wear 4100 Plus.
- Elsewhere, it could have 32GB of storage and more than 1.5GB of RAM.
However, today we have a drop in several leaks related to the specifications of the Google Pixel Watch. While revealing some of the alleged details of the watch, the leak also shows what’s going on with this processor.
First, a second source said 9to5Google That the Pixel Watch could have the Exynos 9110 under the hood. However, this new source also indicates that there may be a coprocessor on board. In theory, this smaller, less powerful processor can perform corrective tasks to save the main processor from draining the battery.
This will be similar to how the Snapdragon Wear 4100 Plus works. However, this is all speculation. If the Exynos 9110 has a coprocessor, only Google knows what purpose it will be used for.
Other Leaked Google Pixel Watch Specifications
CPU out, new 9to5Google The leak contains more information. It is claimed that the Pixel Watch could have 32GB of internal storage. For a smartwatch, that’s a lot. The only reason we would consider getting this storage is to download music files. This could mean sideloading music or downloading it from Spotify, YouTube Music, etc.
Elsewhere, this new source suggests an interesting part of the Google Pixel Watch’s specifications. Apparently, the wearable could have more RAM than we saw on a Wear OS watch. The Galaxy Watch 4 has 1.5GB of RAM, so the Pixel Watch will likely have 2GB or more. If true, that would be good news, as it will help keep Wear OS running fast.
Finally, the source indicates that the Pixel Watch has the same sensors on the bottom as we see in the Fitbit Charge 5. In theory, this could mean that the Pixel Watch could have all the health tracking features of the Charge 5. However, the source only confirmed that tracking can be included Heart rate, SpO2 tracking and EKG readings.
